The Ending the HIV Epidemic Plan was announced in February 2019. The initiative aims to reduce new HIV infections in the United States by 75% within 5 years and 90% within 10 years. The President's Budget has requested initial funding of $291 million for the Department of Health and Human Services to support the initiative in 2020. In Phase I of the plan, efforts are focused on 50 local jurisdictions where greater than 50% of new HIV diagnoses occured in 2016 and 2017 as well as 7 states with substantial HIV infections taking place in rural areas.

This page brings together data to support policy makers, advocates, researchers, and academics quantify service availability and infectious disease information for each locality under the plan.
